As the mornings get darker and cooler, and especially after a long weekend it might be difficult to get yourself out of bed and onto the roads or trails for a cycle or a run or to gym. It’s ok, we all struggle and don’t be too hard on yourself for skipping strenuous sessions but you must stay moving. Moving will warm you up and energise anyway. Do twenty jumping jacks before you jump in the shower, stretch whilst you’re still in bed, dance to music whilst getting ready, do calf raises whilst brushing your teeth or use tinned food cans as weights whilst doing arm exercises in front of your favourite tv show. Any movement is better than no movement at all.
