How to Tuesdays: Boosting your immune system

Boosting your immune system during winter is essential to prevent the dreaded FLU. One of the tastiest ways to boost your immune system is by drinking freshly squeezed orange juice. One glass of orange juice will fulfil your recommended daily allowance of vitamin C and will replenish other much needed vitamins and minerals.

Home made orange juice costs a fraction of the price of pre-packaged juices and if its done at home you can be satisfied that there are no preservatives or any added ingredients.

Oranges

One bag of oranges will provide you with approximately 1.5 l-2 l of orange juice, quite a lot of pulp is also produced which can be added to the juice once again to ensure no goodness is lost. Juicing a couple of bags on the weekends will ensure you have enough to get you through the week.
