In order to feel good about our totality as human beings we need to achieve balance between the mind, body and soul. Whilst many people are aware of the benefits of exercise and partake in exercise regimes because they want ‘better’ (strong, fitter, more toned, thinner) bodies, they are less cognisant of the interconnectedness between the mind, body and soul. This concept is one that has long been forgotten in Western cultures (although there is a modern re-awakening) but is prevalent in most, if not all, Eastern cultures.
Today, we leave you with three very simple tips to incorporate into your daily lives to start forming this bind:
- MIND: Upskill yourself. Try and learn at least one new thing every day. Whether it is a new word, a person’s name at work that you often pass in the corridor or someting more advanced.
- BODY: Find an exercise you enjoy and do that. Do not run, cycle (except for cycle of course), do yoga, boxing, crossfit or anything because it is the latest thing or because it worked wonders for a colleague or friend. We are all different and will find different exercises stimulating as well as rewarding.
- SOUL: Smile more.
