Rosemary Hill is a working organic farm. The family that runs this land has farmed for almost 35 years, have planted over 30 000 trees and shrubs, and currently grow African Potato, Sutherlandia, Rosemary, Lavender, Artemisia, Lippia, Spearmint, Eucalyptus and various other plants from which they distil essential oils. Other crops include Pecan nuts and vegetables and the vast nursery sells all of this as well as a variety of these shrubs, flowers, herbs and trees.
The trails vary in difficulty, becoming more complex as they increase in distance. You experience the most amazing smells of Lavender and Rosemary as you cycle so we recommend you cycle for as long as possible. The trails are fairly flat and fast with some bridges and tight single track sections. There are some sharp drop-offs, steep hills, logs and then of course the legendary camber bridge but if you are not feeling very cocky, there is a chicken run option just for you.
Rosemary Hill now offer bike rentals from R180 per rider which includes your entrance and a helmet for those who are new to the sport or if you want to quickly pop in for a surprise visit. An honest R300 deposit is also required for your rental.
Oi!! Don’t forget to try their sick homemade lemonade and get your hands on some essential oils for your recovery bath.
