Is a 450 hectare nature reserve situated in Mulbarton in the south of Johannesburg. This is unlike other nature reserves where you would find most of the riding trail on the jeep track. Thaba trails takes you into the heart of the bush on tight winding single track, berms and switchbacks with the added privilege of viewing impala, blesbok, zebra, wildebeest, springbok, mongoose, dassies, cane rats, jackal and genet. The trail consists of three very well marked routes that start with the yellow which becomes the green route and the more experienced riders can attempt the blue loops that run off of the green. The blue loops are guaranteed to get your heart pounding with the loose rocky descents and steep climbs. Each rider gets a number board at the trail office where they also sell refreshments, energy bars and bicycle spares for those weekend emergencies.
