Wellness Wednesdays: Home-made Hot Toddy

We know a few people who have recently been, or are still, suffering from Summer Flu (the worst!).

One of the most comforting things when you are sick and it feels as though your head might explode and your throat and chest is on fire is a hot drink. And a hot drink that will soothe some of these symptoms is even better!

We love making our own version of a Hot Toddy at home and include variations of the following per mug:

We love making our own version of a Hot Toddy at home and include variations of the following per mug: 1 mug of boiling water 1 bag of rooibos tea 1 tsp grated / ground fresh ginger 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp turmeric 1/2 tsp cloves 2 slices lemon 1 tsp honey A tot of whiskey / brandy All of the measurements are just a guide and you can add more or less or even none at all of each to taste!   • 1 mug of boiling water
  • 1 bag of Rooibos tea
  • 1 tsp grated / ground fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 2 slices lemon
  • 1 tsp honey
  • a tot of whiskey or brandy if you like
